At Lapin Negotiation Services, we increase our clients’ profitability, productivity, and bottom-line by helping and/or training them to optimize contracts and agreements, create value in negotiations, save the enormous costs of conflict, and manage litigation risk exposure. At the same time, we work to strengthen relationships between all parties to the negotiation or the dispute to the extent possible, without conceding value.
Lapin Negotiation Services is a firm serving corporate clients, government entities, and individuals – locally, nationally, and globally. We have earned recognition as a major leader in the areas of negotiation, relationship building, and dispute resolution.

He has helped his clients negotiate multi-million dollar transactions and mediated and resolved close to one thousand disputes encompassing the areas of intellectual property, construction, business, defense, healthcare, employment, medical malpractice, labor union issues, and negotiations involving multinational components where cultural differences often play a key role.
Raphael’s practice is based on the methodology developed and taught at the Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation. His driving philosophy is to help parties search for creative, innovative, and value-generating solutions while at the same time, strengthening the ongoing working relationships.
He possesses the unique combination of strong analytical skills together with very creative thinking. This allows him to discover new, fresh, and innovative ideas for resolution in negotiations and disputes beyond those that the parties themselves might imagine.
Raphael is author of “Working with Difficult People” (Penguin Books, Essential Managers’ Series 2009) and has published numerous articles on negotiation, dispute resolution, and corporate and diplomatic relationship building, which have been translated into several languages.
